Parent Statement

What We Value:

• Consistency of care for our children.
• Respectful, caring and considerate interactions with our children.
• Encouragement for our children to develop self-discipline, resilience, self esteem and the independence required as they move through each developmental stage.

Our Expectations of Staff:

• learning the parents’ names, and asking when they’ve forgotten
• developing a relationship with the parent
• interacting with the parent and child at the beginning and end of each day
• providing updates on our child’s day
• discussing our child’s development and milestone goals
• providing interesting, developmentally appropriate activities
• providing guidance on appropriate social behaviour for our children

As Parents, we will make an effort in:

• learning the names of our children’s caregivers and asking when we’ve forgotten.
• being courteous and respectful to the caregivers, other children and their parents.
• providing information about our children to assist the caregivers in their duties.
• interacting with all the caregivers in our child’s room.
